[Side dishes] Korean curry (Ka-Re)

Korean curry (Ka-Re)

Hello, everyone! I'm Tina Shin!
Today, we are making Ka-Re(카레) which is Korean curry.

This is one of my favorite Korean foods.
It's easy to make but super delicious and healthy!

It's almost the same with Japanese curry because Koreans follow their recipes.

#Korean culture on Korean curry!
In Korea, many people make lot of curry at once and then eat it many times.
If I make curry for dinner, I eat it for dinner, tomorrow's breakfast and lunch.
It's good for housewife because no need to make other side dishes at least for 2 days.
However, It's not good for other family members because they have to eat it at every meal!!!!

Let's make the Korean curry!

<Recipe - Long Version with video>

1. Cut all ingredients.
Let's cut them into bite-sized pieces!
(potato, carrot, onions, meat)
If you don't have meat, it's okay to use ham

* Korean culture (in market)
All butcher's shops have the meat for curry.
They have chopped one. You choose only beef or pork.

2. Put all ingredients into the pot with cooking oil.
Put cooking oil first, and then put all ingredients and cook them over medium-high heat. For better tastes, start with meat first then the onions. And end with carrots and potatoes. But it's bothersome for me. So I put them all at once.

3. Put water into the pot and boil them.
Put water(2.5 cups) and boil them for three or five minutes.

4. Put curry powder into the pot.
Add curry powder in three lots and stir.

5. Eat it with cooked rice and Kimchi!

* Korean culture
We don't eat only curry. Korean curry is just one of many side dishes.
We eat it with rice, kimchi and so on.
However, for your weight, eat it with nothing or with a little Multi-grain or brown Rice

Finish!
