<Recipe - Long Version with Video>

1. Rinse and drain the bean sprout(200g).
Pick out any rotten sprout if you need. My mother always did when I was young. However, these days, I can buy clean sprouts. So if you see any rotten sprouts, you could pick them out. But It's not necessary to do that.

2. Put 10 or 15 dried anchovies, 3 bowls of water and kelp. Boil it for 10 or 15 minutes.
At first, put 10 or 15 dried anchovies into the pot. Fry for few seconds for removing fishy smell. And then put 3 bowls of water. If you need 4~5 servings, put 4~5 bowls of water. Put some kelp if you have. Boil it for 10 or 15 minutes.
In the beginning, boil with high heat. When it boils over, lower the heat.

3. While boiling the water, chop the green onions and chili peppers and crush the onions
Chop! Chop! Chop!  the green onions and chili peppers!
Crush! Crush Crush! the onions! I already have crushed onions. Actually, these days in Korea, it is sold in any grocery stores, even in convenience stores.

4. When it boils over, take out anchovies and kelp.
Take out all the anchovies and kelp.

5. Put the bean sprout into the pot and wait for 7 minutes.
After putting the bean sprout, you need to decide to open the lid or to close it.
If you decide to open it, let it open until cooking is done. If you decide to close it, let it close until cooking is done. If you open and close, open and close while you're cooking, your bean sprout soup would be spoiled. It would smell not good. I always decide to open it because it's easy to cook.

6. Put soybean, crushed onions, salted[pickled] shrimp, the green onions and chili peppers.

You don't have to put salted shrimp if you don't have. You could just put the salt. However, for better taste, you need to put the salted shrimp! :-)
If It's a little bland for your taste, put some salt.

7. Boil for 1~2 minutes!

Finish!

We eat this with rice!
