Watch how to make 'tasty Korean frozen hot dogs' on YOUTUBE.  Today, we are going to make 'Korean frozen hot dogs(Corn dogs)' Crispy(outside) and soft(inside) without air fryer.  Many Koreans have an air fryer at home. It became famous cooker in Korea. We cook many dishes at home by using cooking oil. So it was the groundbreaking invention for a family cook(usuaslly moms in Korea). However, an air fryer is a little expensive and many Koreans who live alone don't have it. So I use a frying pan which anyone might have.  Anyway, we have frozen hot dogs(corn dogs) in Korea. Actually, hot dogs in Korea means corn dogs in U.S.A. We have many kinds of frozen hot dogs(corn dogs). mozzarella hot dog, potato hot dogs, chicken breast hot dog, etc. However, I think original hot dogs(corn dogs) is the best if you know how to make it crispy(outside) and soft(inside). Today, we are making 'Egg Jangjorim'!

Do you know ‘Rice Thief(밥도둑)'?
This means that something is so freaking delicious that make a person feel as if eating up a bowl of rice rapidly.
 
One of the great Rice Thieves is Eggs Jangjorim, Soy Sauce Braised Eggs.
We have many kinds of Jangjorims.
They are made with eggs, beef, pork, chicken, quail eggs, and so on.

The key of all these Jangjorims is ‘boiled soy sauce with lots of ingredients’
If you make the sauce well, any Jangjorim would be delicious.


Now, let's make the Egg Jangjorim!



Ingredients (3~4 servings)
When you boil the eggs : Vinegar, salt, 8~10 eggs
When you make the sauce : soy sauce, brown sugar, mirim(like cooking wine), starch syrup, whole pepper, green onion, garlic, sesame seed(option)






Directions
1. Boil the egg first. 
   When you boil eggs, you have to add salt and vinegar into the water.
   




   Wash with cold water and peel the eggs.



Now, let's make the sauce for Egg Jangjorim.

2. Put the water (three cups) into a pot.



3. Add the thick soy sauce (6 tablespoons or more).
 ** You have to use 'thick' soy sauce! If you don't, it would not be delicious.
 We have many kinds of soy sauce!
 I'm planning to explain all kinds of Korean soy sauce! Wait for this Youtube and post :-)




4. Add brown sugar (2 tablespoons)



5. Add Mirim (2 tablespoons)
Mirim is alcohol for food. It's like cooking wine.



6. Add starch syrup (2 tablespoons)



7. Add peppercorns(Whole pepper) (5~6 pieces)



8. Add the green onion and whole garlic



9. Turn on the range and boil it well



10. When it boils, add the boiled eggs.



11. Boil it again for 30 minutes or more.


** The longer you boil it, the better it is.



Done!!
With cooked rice, it taste better!
